Making the most of your tutoring sessions
• Please ask questions. Don't be afraid to let me know when you do not understand a concept. That is why I am here. My goal is to create a safe environment where you can ask questions and thrive as a math student.
• Complete your homework assignments to the best of your abilities. If you come to a problem that you do not understand, try it first for at least one minute. Write down any ideas that you have to solve the problem. If you still cannot solve the problem, circle it and we will address it during our next tutoring session.
• When you are in class, listen carefully to the teacher. Be an active participant in class by taking notes and asking questions. Any concepts that you do not understand, flag with a sticky note or another code. Bring any of these concerns to me at your next tutoring session.
• Please bring all necessary materials to your tutoring session. That includes textbooks, a calculator, homework assignments, and any other pertinent information.
